Description:Cows drinking and grazing together in Stoney Creek near the Van Hoosen Farm site on a cloudy day. The Alice Serrell Slide Collection documents life on Van Hoosen Farm, events in the greater Rochester, Michigan area, and the travels of Alice Serrell and Dr. Sarah Van Hoosen Jones throughout the 1950s-1970s. The Van Hoosen Farm in Stoney Creek Village was home to the Taylor and Van Hoosen families, dating back to 1823. Alice Serrell was a close friend and employee of Dr. Sarah Van Hoosen Jones, who managed her family’s farm from 1927 to 1952.
